It’s been a long time since I have written you asking for money on behalf of Good News Church. In fact, according to my best calculations, the last fundraising type of letter I penned was released on November 30, 2017. So, it’s been about 2 years since I’ve written one of these.
Consider Giving Good News Church a Christmas Gift this Year
This is just a quick blurb to let you know how our church is doing financially. First, I’ll point out that, after a weak first quarter, giving actually increased a bit during the time period that came right after the media announcements related to Covid-19. Amazingly, during April and May, Good News actually received more money than we had received during the same time in 2019. Wow. What a blessing!
This Year, Good News Financially Supported More Missionary Work and Acts of Compassion Than Ever Before!
I have such exciting news to share. After looking over our financial statements for 2020, I noticed that Good News Church gave away $83,569.69 this year! That is the most we’ve ever done.
Does Good News Church Need Money? And If So, Why Don't You Ask For It Very Often?
Recently, a regular attender brought up the fact that Good News doesn’t give updates letting people know when there are financial needs so that people can donate towards them. And that same man made it sound like perhaps he would give more money to Good News if only we talked about it/asked for it more often. It was an interesting conversation, and it made me realize that our church has a somewhat unusual philosophy of ministry when it comes to money and donations.
