Recently, I started reading a book, loaned and recommended to me by a friend, titled "Worship As David Lived It" by Judson Cornwall. I haven't finished reading it, but one part I thought was interesting said this, "..."

This article is hopefully the first in a series of articles surrounding the music that’s selected for us to sing during our church services. In these articles, I would like to take a song that we’re singing (or planning on singing) and think through some questions surrounding it. Why are we singing this particular song, is there a particular meaning behind the song, what scripture(s) connect directly to its lyrics, etc…?

Last week we sang a song called, “All Is Well”. This song deals with some ideas of the sovereignty of God, so I wanted to take a bit to help explain a few key points: What does it mean to say that “God is sovereign”? How is a sovereign God still a good God? What are the implications for me as a Christian?
