Married people can learn passages from the Bible about marriage. And to those who are not married, there are a lot of things about marriage that are helpful to know before you get into one. And even if you are someone who would say, “I’m never getting married” or “I’m never getting married again” it is still not a waste of time and effort to know what the Bible says about this. What happens when a fellow Christian asks you something like, “Do you think I should keep dating Martin or break up with him?” or “I’m thinking about divorcing Sue; what do you think?” That is not the time to say, “I don’t know. I’ve never bothered to learn about anything that doesn’t apply to me.”
