What will you do with your new year? I know many of us are making plans to use our time more wisely in 2025. Some have plans to dedicate a few more hours a week to exercise or homemade meals. Others are planning to stick to a budget or read their Bible more. All of us are hoping and praying for 2025 to be even better than last year.
I encourage you to consider an additional way you can invest your time wisely in 2025 by becoming a KidZone volunteer which takes JUST 12 HOURS A YEAR! Our volunteers typically serve just one Sunday a month, which is probably way less than any other New Year’s Resolution you might be considering.
You may think, oh kids aren’t my thing, but if you are friendly, you could serve at the check-in desk. You might think you don’t know the Bible well enough, but we provide the training and a detailed lesson for our teachers, or you could cuddle babies or play with toddlers. And our classrooms need helpers to pass out goldfish and glue sticks.
The benefits package for our volunteers includes watching kids make connections between Bible stories and God’s work in their lives, lots of smiles and hugs, investing in the next generation of Jesus followers, and bonus, you might learn some new Bible stories yourself. Who wouldn’t want a front row seat to all that?
