I wanted to ask some of you to help us make room for more people this upcoming Easter Sunday.
The reason I say “some of you” is that this message is mostly for the people who attend our 9:15 service. If you already attend at 11:00am, feel free to ignore this announcement and get back to those TikTok videos of cats dressed as batman (or whatever else you may have been up to.)
Here is the deal. It is not unusual for us fill up on Easter Sunday with people standing in the back. However, it is usually true that one of our services packs out more than the other.
In fact, even on normal Sundays, the attendance at 9:15 is typically about 70 people more than the 11:00 service. However, on Easter that number doubles. Last Easter, an extra 147 more people showed up at the 9:15am than the 11am service. It wasn’t balanced. It almost never is.
So, here is the request. If you typically attend the 9:15 service, would you be willing to come to the 11:00am service just for this one Sunday in order to make room at the more popular service? It might be inconvenient to have Easter lunch a little later than you normally would… or to have to wait in an extra long line at China Lee Buffet because you got there a couple of hours later. However, that decision might make some room for someone to be able to hear the gospel while sitting in a chair, rather than having to stand in the back leaning against a trash can or something.
Please consider helping out in this way. I love being your pastor.
