Many people this time of year have made resolutions to handle their finances better, make a budget, or learn how to invest their money wisely. But I wanted to put you onto an investment with guaranteed returns! You might ask how could I guarantee that? I’m not talking about investing your dollars, but instead investing your time…serving in KidZone!
Being a volunteer in KidZone is an exciting opportunity to love and lead our children to know more about Jesus and hopefully decide to follow Him with their whole lives. Every baby that is held, every toddler handed goldfish, every kid who hears a Bible lesson or learns to memorize this month’s Bible verse is another deposit into helping make heaven crowded. Isn’t that so exciting to think about?
You don’t have to be a theology professor or trained school teacher to volunteer. We have an easy-to-follow curriculum that outlines the Bible lesson, activities and Bible verses for each week. Or you can volunteer to be a support person in a classroom or come cuddle adorable babies. I often say to people, if you could just sit in on a KidZone class one Sunday and experience the thrill of watching a child have an “aha” moment, understanding a new thing about the Bible or the Gospel, you would surely want to do this every single Sunday. All it takes is one Sunday a month, making time to pray and review the lesson and a heart willing to invest in eternity. Wouldn’t you want to invest in that?
