Royal Family Kids Camp: A Chance to Volunteer and a Name Change

January 13, 2016 Tiffany Bagasan

Good News is the sponsor church for a summer camp that is specifically designed for kids who have experienced neglect and abuse. An opportunity to volunteer at this camp will be on Sunday, January 24th (at all three services). Camp week will be on May 29 - June 3. We need 112 week-long volunteers this year. Camp takes a BIG group of amazing people who love God and want to share that love with our campers.

Speaking of sharing the love, camp is growing. Royal Family Kids camp only goes from ages 7-12 years old. Next year, we will be adding another camp experience that will take place on a different week during the summer, and it will be called Teen Reach Adventure Camp (T.R.A.C). Like Royal Family Kids Camp, T.R.A.C. is a camp designed for kids who‘ve experienced abuse; it‘s just targeted at an older age group. The addition of this camp will allow our Royal Family Kid campers to continue on with camp experiences through their teen years.

Because we will no longer just be Royal Family Kids Camp (because of the addition of T.R.A.C) our non-profit name is changing to "Share The Love Ocala". Share The Love Ocala will be the home of two camps: RFK and TRAC. With this name change comes a new logo, website, etc. but Royal Family Kids Camp remains as it was, and we‘d love for you to get involved on January 24th!

Thank you Good News Church for sponsoring and supporting camp since 2012!
